Lyudmila Suprun: The Central election committee organized the elections in a poor way and didn’t give people a possibility to vote.8.4.2006 15:20
“During the poll people were asked whether they would participate in the elections. 88% of the respondents gave the positive answer. And how many voter do we have –67%. It means that people were not given the possibility to express their political position” – informed Lyudmila Suprun – “The data we have shows that 47% of the citizens voted. 20% of votes were a falsification: false signatures, filling ballot-boxes with voting papers etc. Therefore I state that the Central election committee failed to organize the elections in a proper way and didn’t give people a possibility to vote. There were 88% of potential voters, but only few could use their right to vote.
That means that the state was an artificial obstacle on the way of the people to express their will. Why so? – Because it didn’t want any changes, because the coming of the new parties would have shown that there are no monsters that are supported by the country’s citizens. And they want to prove this. When they say that there is no falsification – there is, when they say that there is no money in the treasury – there is, when they say that there is no way to return the money of the citizens – there is, when they say that tariffs should be raised in order to survive – it is not necessary, when they say that there is no money to raise the salary of an election committee worker – it can be raised. And we do it! So one lie is followed by all other lies. And these lies will not only influence the right of the citizens to vote, but it will also influence the income right, the right to get a refund, the right to free education and medical care…It will be a total lie” – claimed the leader of the People’s democratic bloc.
